Directions Third Age Consultants Inc
Gillian Leithman is the president and founder of Directions Third Age Consultants Inc. Directions was initially founded in 2005 in order to help midlife employees prepare for the emotional transition from work to retirement. Since that time, we quickly discovered that all employees need tools and skills to deal with professional and personal challenges. That is why today we focus on skills training seminars and workshops that are designed to improve the functioning of all employees and increase organizational productivity.
Directions also provides consulting services to companies dealing with knowledge transfer issues. We help businesses in their efforts to capitalize on the experience of their mature workforce and motivate them to pass on their knowledge to their younger counterparts.
Gillian has conducted workshops and seminars for some of Canada's premiere business and organizations such as Bell Canada, Air Canada, the United Church of Canada, Investors Group, Combined Jewish Appeal, IMS, Federal Express and Novartis. Her seminars have included: retirement series workshops, work-life balance, stress management, effective communication and change management. She serves on the Faculty of the Department of Management at the John Molson School of Business. Gillian holds an honours undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Masters of Science degree from the John Molson School of Business. She is also a Certified Retirement Coach and she is currently pursuing her PHD.
